The flexor carpi radialis is a muscle located in the forearm. It runs from the medial epicondyle of the humerus to the base of the second metacarpal bone. The flexor carpi radialis primarily functions to flex and abduct the wrist joint, moving the hand towards the thumb side of the forearm.
