TheraTogs ULTRA Lower Extremity System

The TheraTogs ULTRA Lower Extremity System is an innovative, portable therapy measure to support and improve the musculoskeletal alignment and function of the legs. This system specifically aims to improve the alignment and function of the knee joints, developing femurs, and hip joints. It is suitable for children and adults who can walk independently and have no problems with hip or trunk stability.

Main advantages:

The primary goal of the TheraTogs ULTRA Lower Extremity System is to provide non-invasive, dynamic support that mimics the effects of physical therapy throughout the day. As a result, it provides continuous therapeutic input that can lead to improved neuromuscular control, alignment and movement patterns, especially in walking and jumping. This system is particularly beneficial for individuals with various neuromotor, balance and gait disorders.

Indications and Applications:

  • Cerebral palsy: Improving mobility and supporting muscle control by correcting gait deviations and promoting better posture.
  • Hypotension: Stabilizing and increasing muscular support to allow for better posture and balance.
  • Ligament laxity: Provides external support to overstretched ligaments to promote better joint stability and alignment.
  • Hemiplegia due to stroke or traumatic brain injury (TBI): Helps restore symmetry in gait and improves function on the affected side.
  • Internal gait in children under 7 years old caused by excessive femoral torsion or excessive leg or foot rotation: Corrects leg alignment to promote a more natural gait.
  • Excessive anterior pelvic tilt caused by excessive femoral torsion or excessive leg or foot rotation: Helps correct pelvic position and reduce stress on the lower spine.
  • Outward-facing gait in children under 7 years: Treat by adjusting for decreased femoral torsion, excessive lateral tibiofibular torsion, hip external rotation tendency, or knee joint ligament laxity.
  • Knee hyperextension in children under 7 years or newly acquired knee hyperextension: Improving knee control and promoting correct stride length.
  • Insufficient knee extension in the swing phase, resulting in shortened strides: Supports more complete knee extension to improve gait dynamics.
  • Genu Varum or Genu Valgum caused by ligament laxity of the knee joint: Promotes proper alignment of the legs to reduce stress on the knee joints.
  • Persistent flexible foot pronation in hips/knees caused by hypotonia or ligament laxity: Improves foot and ankle stability to provide better support and balance.
  • Excessive flexible foot supination caused by ligament laxity: Corrects foot position to allow for more efficient weight distribution and improved gait patterns.

Caution!

When using the TheraTogs ULTRA Lower Extremity System for clients aged 7 and over with alignment problems of bones and jointsextreme caution is required. A careful assessment and, if necessary, consultation with aPediatric orthopedists are crucial to ensure safe and effective use and protect the client's well-being.
