Genetic syndromes

Built around your child.

A genetic diagnosis is a starting point, not a script. Whatever the syndrome — common or rare — we build active, measured neuro-motor therapy around the child in front of us, and the milestones that matter to your family.

What it is

Genetic syndromes, in plain terms.

Genetic syndromes are congenital conditions written into a child's genes — often affecting muscle tone, movement, posture and the pace of development. Each syndrome is different, and within a syndrome every child is different again.

We don't treat a label — we treat a child. Combining DMI, suit and suspension work, vibration and stimulation, we build active loading and patterning around each child's exact tone, strengths and goals, and re-measure as they grow.

Subtypes we work with

Profiles we work with.

We have hands-on experience with the variants named below — and with many rare types that don't fit neatly into any of them. If your child's diagnosis isn't here, please reach out: we work with complex and rare cases every day.

Down syndrome (Trisomy 21) Rett syndrome Prader-Willi syndrome Angelman syndrome Fragile X & Williams-Beuren Rare & undiagnosed syndromes

How we work with it

Deep experience with rare cases.

We work with rare and complex genetic profiles every day — adapting intensity, equipment and handling to each child. Active loading, patterning and custom alignment, practised in focused blocks and tracked with objective measures.

No generic templates. Every plan is built around one child's specific tone, strengths and goals — and rebuilt as they grow.

Genetic-syndrome questions, answered

What these parents ask us.

Will therapy help even if the syndrome is rare or undiagnosed?

Yes. We treat the child's movement profile, not the label — so a precise diagnosis isn't required to make measurable progress.

Is intensive active therapy safe for my child?

We grade intensity and handling carefully to each child's tone, joints and medical picture, coordinating with your medical team.

How often should we do intensive blocks?

Many families do periodic intensive blocks with weekly or virtual therapy in between. We'll recommend a rhythm at assessment.

Will insurance help fund it?

Often, via Krankenkasse or IV/AI pathways. See insurance & funding — our parent liaison helps with the paperwork.

Not quite a match?

Doesn't your child fit this profile?

We work with all kinds of children. If your child's condition or diagnosis isn't exactly what's described here, reach out anyway — we'll happily answer your questions, and we look forward to speaking with you.
