Neurodegenerative & Parkinson's
Keeping movement alive.
When a condition is degenerative, active movement is protective. We use measured, repetition-rich therapy to preserve mobility, balance and independence — and to keep daily life as full as possible, for as long as possible.
What it is
Neurodegeneration, in plain terms.
Neurodegenerative conditions involve the progressive loss of nerve-cell function — affecting movement, tone, balance and coordination over time. Parkinsonian conditions add rigidity, slowness and postural instability.
Active, well-targeted movement is one of the most protective things we can offer. We build graded loading, big-amplitude movement, balance and gait work — dosed to the day and measured to keep the plan honest.
Subtypes we work with
Conditions we work with.
We have hands-on experience with the variants named below — and with many rare types that don't fit neatly into any of them. If your child's diagnosis isn't here, please reach out: we work with complex and rare cases every day.
The toolkit
Methods that preserve mobility.
DMI — motor mapping
Dynamic Movement Intervention drives automatic motor responses and new movement patterns.
About DMICME — gravity reaction
Cuevas MEDEK Exercise trains the child's reaction to gravity and postural control.
Ask about CMETheraSuit — alignment
A suit system that improves alignment and loads the body for active, intensive work.
Ask about TheraSuitGalileo — activation
Gentle vibration wakes up and strengthens muscles before and during therapy.
Ask about GalileoHow we work with it
Measured, hands-on active therapy.
We use graded active loading, big-amplitude movement, balance and gait work — practised in focused blocks and tracked with objective measures so we protect function and adapt early.
No generic templates. Every plan is built around one child's stage, energy and goals — and adjusted as things change.
Questions, answered
What these parents ask us.
Can therapy really help a progressive condition?
Active movement is protective: it helps preserve mobility, balance and independence. We set realistic, functional goals and review them often.
Will the work get adjusted as things change?
Yes — we re-measure regularly and adapt intensity, equipment and goals to each stage.
Do you coordinate with our medical team?
Always — we work alongside your neurologist and clinical therapists.
Will insurance help fund it?
Often, via Krankenkasse or IV/AI pathways. See insurance & funding — our parent liaison helps with the paperwork.
Not quite a match?
Doesn't your child fit this profile?
We work with all kinds of children. If your child's condition or diagnosis isn't exactly what's described here, reach out anyway — we'll happily answer your questions, and we look forward to speaking with you.
