Galileo.

Side-alternating whole-body vibration that mimics the rhythm of walking — rhythmic muscle activation that's gentle on joints and the heart, and great for movement development.

What it is & why

Galileo, in plain terms.

Galileo is a side-alternating vibration plate. Its tipping movement mimics the natural walking pattern, rhythmically activating the muscles of the legs, abdomen and back — gently, and easy on the joints and circulation.

Why we use it. We use it to prime muscle activation and tone before or alongside active work — often combined with Whole-Body Vibration and NISE-Stim.

The how & the why

The how, and the why.

The methodology

The child stands or sits on a Galileo plate that tilts rapidly from side to side — a side-alternating, see-saw motion like walking. Adjustable frequency and amplitude let the therapist dose the rhythmic activation precisely.

Why it helps

The motion rhythmically activates leg, abdominal and back muscles, building strength, coordination and mobility — and it's especially gentle on the joints and cardiovascular system, which suits children recovering from immobility.

Candidacy

Is Galileo right for my child?

Which children benefit?

Children with movement limitations or recovering from prolonged immobility — it supports motor development while protecting vulnerable joints.

Is whole-body vibration safe for children?

Used as dosed by a trained therapist, yes — frequency and amplitude are tailored, and it's notably gentle on joints and the heart.

How do we track change?

Against strength, coordination and mobility goals — see assessment & tracking.

"Galileo borrows the rhythm of walking — and gives muscles a workout that's kind to growing joints."
