What it is & why

TheraSuit, in plain terms.

The TheraSuit® method is an intensive programme that uses a soft dynamic suit of bungee cords plus individually-tailored exercises to improve motor function in children with neurological conditions.

Why we use it. The suit gives external alignment and graded resistance so the child can practise correct, loaded movement intensively — the backbone of an ORCA Intensive block.

Improves posture, balance & mobility Adds graded resistance & alignment Built for intensive, milestone-driven blocks For CP, delay, spina bifida, TBI & more

The how & the why

The how, and the why.

The methodology

The TheraSuit is a soft suit of adjustable elastic cords that gently corrects alignment and adds graded resistance. Worn during tailored exercises delivered by advanced certified therapists, it turns each session into focused, loaded practice.

Why it helps

Better alignment plus resistance means the child practises movement in a more typical pattern, with the muscles working harder — supporting posture, equilibrium and motor control across many diagnoses.

Candidacy

Is TheraSuit right for my child?

Which children benefit?

Children with cerebral palsy, developmental delays, stroke, spina bifida, spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries — each with a customised programme.

Is the TheraSuit the same as PediaSuit?

They're closely related suit-therapy systems with the same core idea — alignment plus resistance inside an intensive programme. ORCA picks the right fit for your child.

How is progress measured?

With recognised tools, tracked over the programme — see assessment & tracking.

"Align the body, add the load, repeat the right movement — that's how a suit turns effort into progress."
